THE TITLE IS: Marine Structure Design Engineer
Description:
Responsible for civil design and its deliverables (3D model, 2D drawings and other documents) as per Project Specification, Division of Work and Instructions as worked out with project team and local partners with regards to cost, time, and quality. The civil drawings should fulfil our internal minimum requirements as well as the local/national standards and norms. Use computers and selected programs for such matters as preparing reports and conducting analyses.
Independently perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices, towards set goals. Plan, conduct or coordinate a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Conduct or coordinate complex analyses, advanced technical studies and develop recommendations based on sound engineering practices and business considerations as well as potentially legal and other agency requirements.

Marine Design Structure Engineer
Experience & expertise:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structure design for offshore wind and/or oil & gas industries, especially for floating application.
- Strong expertise in structure and hydrodynamic simulation to predict platform behavior under various metocean conditions.
- Good knowledge of wave basin testing methodology or experimental verification method.
- Conducted marine operation analysis for weather windows, offshore lifting, anchor and mooring installation, and riser hook-up.
- Participated in HAZID and HAZOP studies for various marine operations.
Education:
- Master or PhD degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- WADAM, Sesam-GeniE, SIMO, Orcaflex, etc.
- Floater design for offshore wind turbines and/or oil & gas rigs.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Independently executing floating offshore substation structure load calculations based on metocean data using hydrodynamic simulations.
- Collaborating closely with the system layout design team to optimize offshore substation layouts from both a floating load and cost perspective.
- Proactively updating hydrodynamic structure calculation methods within the offshore industry.
EXPLANATION ON LEVELS:
Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced
Levels with letters (A-F): Increasing experience from F=Very Junior up to A=Very Experienced

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
Some remote work WITHIN SWEDEN may be possible, but Onsite preferred.
