Description:
Mechanical Engineering encompasses a variety of engineering assignments such as planning, designing, and modifying machinery, equipment, and products. It also co-ordinates activities internally and with other groups to effectively accomplish objectives requiring knowledge of associated functions and related engineering fields. Use computers and selected programs for such matters as preparing reports and conducting analyses.
Under general guidance of supervisor or more experienced engineer, perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices. Pursue initiatives to improve effectiveness of the group and increase customer satisfaction or full fill legal or other agency requirements.
Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• 2-6 years of work experience within the relevant field and a bachelor or master’s degree, or
• Another technical degree with 10-15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Working command of the English language.
Additional Hiring Information for Supplier
We are looking for a mechanical design engineer with product design experience, and preferably within electromechanical products.
Understanding of electrical insulation and electrical safety aspects is a big plus.
The tasks would be:
- Oversee the electromechanical design of our energy storage system (ESS) rack in our SVC Light Enhanced solution. Collaborating with our external partners and suppliers you will be central in making design choices, establishing requirements and specifications, reviewing designs.
- Ensure all requirements and aspects from the life cycle of the solution are considered, such as maintainability, transport, backwards compatibility of parts, traceability etc.
- Work to identify, plan and specify product testing and certifications needed as part of our development project.

- In the beginning mostly in the office in Västerås, then remote work 2-3 days per week possible.
Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
In the beginning more in the office in Västerås, then maybe 2-3 days remote work WITHIN SWEDEN, but Onsite preferred.
