Description:
Mechanical Engineering encompasses a variety of engineering assignments such as planning, designing, and modifying machinery, equipment, and products. It also co-ordinates activities internally and with other groups to effectively accomplish objectives requiring knowledge of associated functions and related engineering fields. Use computers and selected programs for such matters as preparing reports and conducting analyses.
Independently and leading other engineers, perform various engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgment and application of standard engineering principles and practices, towards set goals. Lead, plan, conduct and coordinate a range of complex engineering activities encompassing one or more engineering disciplines. Serve as consultant to management and customers regarding advanced technical studies, their potential application and the resolution of complex problems. Coordinate major engineering tasks of substantial impact to HITACHI ENERGY. Proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
Minimum requirements of education and experience:
• Minimum six (6) years of work experience within the relevant field including leadership/management and a bachelor or master’s degree or
• Another technical degree with more than 15 years of work experience within relevant field.
• Working command of the English language.
Additional Hiring Information for Supplier
We design and deliver complete substations for distribution and transmission grids 10-400kV.
Your role will be very varying, such as responsibility for all activities related to substation primary (electro-mechanical design of high voltage systems) design, which includes everything from base design to final delivery. Examples of daily activities are developing design drawings, generating basic documents for construction and performing engineering calculations.

Your responsibilities
• Prepare and review, or oversee, substation documents such as switchyard layout, cable routing, earthing and installation drawings.
• Ensure that the high-voltage systems are designed and executed according to the given specifications and regulations.
• Participate in installation supervision at site or provide support to site team from office.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project integration and successful outcomes in international project environment.
Your background
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering and previous experience on high voltage power systems, substations or MV/HV switchgears.
• Basic knowledge of applicable standards (EN, IEC).
• Good verbal and written skills in English and Swedish. Knowledge in CAD tools, e.g. Revit, is important.
• Ability to clearly communicate internally and with customers in order to successfully collaborate, coordinate, and resolve project related activities and issues.
• Ability to make things happen and willingness to enter into international projects.
• Travel is required; up to 10% both domestic and international.

New added information:
HM need a Consultant that can by himself design 3D substations. That know electrical distances, know how all things must be designed to connect to each other, decide distances and list all material for all substation equipment and all material in the new substation. That is all bolts, supports for all HV-equipment, all other steel gantries, design bus bars, design all incoming and outgoing bays, Al-wire, cupper-wire, cables etc. This electro mechanical engineer designs the whole substation and makes a list to the purchase department of all material that is needed to buy.

Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced
Levels with letters (A-F): Increasing experience from F=Very Junior up to A=Very Experienced

PLEASE NOTE: From the offered hourly rate, the contractual fee of 4.23% (MSP 2,13% + KeyMan 2,1%) will be deducted.
If we end up in a contract the consultant must undergo a drug test before the assignment can start. The consultant then also must have a certificate for SSG-Entré and sign a NDA.
