We are now looking for a SE_Site Management – Senior Site Manager (SWE) to Hitachi Energy Sweden AB in Boden.

PLEASE NOTE: This position is initially at least 100% at site in Boden! Candidate needs to be available to come in to Site in Boden.

Description:
Site Manager with the support of project team is responsible for successful execution/delivery of assigned project(s) on-time, within budget with on- quality & safety framework of PG. 

  • PG Certified Senior Site Manager or similar. 
  • Ability to work with projects of different size, complexity and contractual types.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience, in addition to previous qualification level: 
· Minimum six years experience managing project sites/construction. 
· Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with domain experience in PG business. 
· Experience with Projects of different size, complexity and contractual types.

In this position, you will lead all on-site activities of a project to assure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and/or erection, commissioning and handing-over phases.

Your responsibilities
• Planning project on-site activities together with the Project Manager, including necessary resources, equipment and milestones. Coordinating agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization and policy.
• Responsible for the site, from receiving the assigned site area from the customer until handing over it back to the customer on completion day. This responsibility includes coordination of all on-site activities to ensure the successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
• Serving as a project representative on site. Build and maintain effective relationships with customers as well as other local stakeholders.
• Ensuring correct handling, storage and installation of equipment and material to avoid any damages. Report promptly to project logistics when goods have been received to site.
• Ensuring that detailed and up-to-date risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place in respect of each work package, compliant with the project health and safety plan.
• Ensuring all on-site resources are properly trained and proactively promote health and safety considerations to project partners throughout the project.
• Controlling project cost for the project site work, monitors actual spend against forecasts, and estimates final cost for the same.
• Ensuring all documentation is modified and updated as necessary, the document handling system is maintained, and latest revisions are used for the construction work on site.
• Managing the sub-contractors on site to ensure that necessary quality and progress are achieved to meet delivery date and agreed standards.
• Report regularly to the Project Manager on site activities, HSE (health, safety, environment), quality, progress, cost.

Requirements
• Bachelors in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, or equivalent skills
• Few years’ experience as Site Manager in construction and/or installation business
• Good understanding of the transmission regulations and current HSE legislation.
• Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
• Proactive and flexible personality
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Swedish and good communication skills in English.
• Bas P and bas U competence are considered as a benefit.

EXPLANATION ON LEVELS:
Levels with numbers (1-5): Increasing experience from 1=Very Junior up to 5=Very Experienced
Levels with letters (A-F): Increasing experience from F=Very Junior up to A=Very Experienced
